Player surveys are nothing new to Destiny 2 – Bungie sent around a Diary Research $450 only last November. The latest questionnaire includes a section on fraud, with the option to admit if you have engaged in any covert action.
As shared by senior editor Tom Warren of The Verge on Twitter, a question asked about a player’s “Destiny 2-related cheating experience in the past month”. There are checkboxes for having witnessed or heard of cheating, as well as answers that directly admit cheating in PvP and PvE. Cheating is certainly not cool, but admitting to doing so in a survey is an act of foolishness for the generally savvy community of players. We’ve Seen Destiny 2 Players maximize their mobility in response to a challenge from Bungie – we’ll now see how many of them fell into this (silly) survey trap.
With The Witch Queen expansion fast approaching, cheating may be on Bungie’s mind to an extent. It offers a wide range of New Exotic armor and weapons, many of which have a number of Destiny 2 players wanting to obtain by legal means. In any case, release date of the expansion is February 22, less than a week from the date of this writing. You can start preload Sorceress Queen the night before, from 9 p.m. PT.
