New World Order is one of the most iconic disciplines in professional wrestling history. One of the important members of the NWO, Buff Bagwell, recently had some interesting anecdotes to share.
Bagwell recently appeared on “Who are these scammers?”Podcast, where he shares details of his time with the NWO. It turns out that Eric Bischoff is not a fan of the original Bagwell, however the wrestler turned the tables.
Believe it or not, Eric is not a huge fan of mine. He became a fan of mine and we became great friends, but at first he wasn’t a big fan of me.
Bagwell explains what caused Bischoff to have an attitude towards him, calling himself “a pretty boy, a primitive donut”. What finally helped Bagwell turn the tide was when he knocked out a guy at a club.
I knocked out a guy at the club one night. One punch, then Nasty Boys counted him.
After WWE bought WCW in 2001, they tried to bring the NWO back. Unfortunately, Bagwell is not the game. According to Buff, he even turned down their offer to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
They really called me to do, you know, the thing in the Hall of Fame. Honestly, I said, “I don’t want to be part of a group in the Hall of Fame, I don’t want to be like Brett Farve getting a ring for the Green Bay Packers.“
It seems that Bagwell could not have formed the NWO without Nash, Hall, and Hogan. It is admirable that Bagwell persisted with his gun.
