Bud Light offers to provide Patrick Beverley with post-game drinks

Patrick Beverley could have a new partnership deal thanks to his post-game moment following the Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The NBA may not have liked Patrick Beverley’s behavior after his team’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers, but Bud Light disagreed. The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Clippers 109-104 Tuesday night and Patrick Beverly couldn’t hold back his excitement.

He was so excited that he told reporters exactly what he said to his former teammates when the shot clock went to 0 during his post-game interview, via sports illustrated.

“I told them to take her home,” Beverley said. “Long flight to LA, get you all home. It’s deeper than that for me. I have given my blood, sweat and tears to this organization. You know the story… being written off like that… ‘He’s injury prone, he’s old,’ being able to come here, play them in a play-in, beat them, no other feeling.”

Patrick Beverley and the Timberwolves make the playoffs

Not only did he use profanity during his post-game interview, but he also pulled out a can of Bud Light while teammate Anthony Edwards spoke. The NBA was unhappy with his behavior and fined him for his inappropriate comments.

Bud Light, on the other hand, offered to give Beverly his own can with his face on it. The tin would also include his “Take her home” quote.

The Timberwolves meet the Memphis Grizzlies in the opening round of the playoffs on Saturday. If their celebration against the Clippers is any indication of what fans can expect from them if they win this series, then Bud Light better start cranking up the cans.
