Bruce Willis is retiring from acting for health reasons

In a post on his daughter Rumer’s verified Instagram account, the caption accompanying a photo of the Die Hard actor read, “Bruce’s amazing supporters, we wanted to let you know as a family that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently become one diagnosed with aphasia, which affects his cognitive abilities.”

“As a result, and with much deliberation, Bruce is stepping down from the career that has meant so much to him,” the caption continued. “This is a truly challenging time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support.”

The caption reads that the family is “going through this as a strong family unit and wanted to get his fans involved because we know how much he means to you, just as you do to him.”
