Browns DT arrested on charges of public disturbance

Cleveland Browns defensive prime minister Malik McDowell was arrested for disorderly conduct Monday.

After his first season with Cleveland Browns, defensive player Malik McDowell is in hot water with Broward County following Monday’s disturbing incident.

McDowell was arrested on Monday on “crimes of aggravated aggravation of an officer, violently resisting an officer and exposing his genitals in public.” He walked into a children’s learning center in Deerfield Beach and then attacked a vice captain. McDowell went to court first to hear the charges before the judge on Tuesday morning.

“We are aware of the incident and arrest that is highly relevant to Malik McDowell and are in the process of gathering more information,” the Browns said in a statement. “We understand the seriousness of this issue and our thoughts are for the well-being of all involved. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Cleveland Browns DT Malik McDowell Arrested For Alleged Disruptive Exposure

McDowell was selected second round by the Seattle Seahawks out of Michigan State in 2017 NFL Drafts. Off-field problems prevented the former Big Ten member from playing in Seattle. He spent time in jail after a series of incidents that occurred in 2019. McDowell was released by the Seahawks with no meaning to the franchise. He returned to Cleveland.

The 25-year-old defender from Detroit played 15 games for the 2021 Browns, scoring 19 combined tackles and three sacks. While the talent seemed to always be there, McDowell once again found himself in trouble with the law. Attacking a naked police officer inside a children’s learning facility in South Florida on MLK Day could lead to the release of the Browns.
