Brittany, wife of Patrick Mahomes, NFL world joins forces to smear Bengals’ CB Eli Apple after Chiefs AFC Championship win

The Kansas City Chiefs triumphed over the Cincinnati Bengals with a 23-20 win at Arrowhead Stadium in a thrilling AFC Championship game on Sunday.

This victory triggered a spate of trolling by members of the Chiefs Kingdom. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, lashed out directly at Bengals cornerback Eli Apple after the game, as did several of her husband’s teammates, including Juan Thornhill.

Apple, known as one of the NFL’s most notorious trash talkers, has had a longstanding feud with the Chiefs. Brittany Mahomes’ tweet referenced a post from the Veterans Corner following Cincinnati’s win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. He had quoted a tweet from Stefon Diggs with the message “Cancun on 3”.

Apple’s feud with the Chiefs dates back to last year’s AFC Championship Game, which Cincinnati won with a field goal in overtime. The 27-year-old cornerer took to the Twitter circuit, taking aim at former Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill and calling him a “baby”. He also offered Hill and Mecole Hardman Super Bowl tickets.

With the Chiefs defeating the Bengals on Sunday, Apple will likely remain silent on Twitter, but its beef with Kansas City will no doubt last throughout his NFL career.

The NFL world came together to beat Eli Apple after the Chiefs won the AFC Championship Game. His reputation as one of the top trash talkers in the league has continued to be cemented, and the Chiefs’ Kingdom is not sparing in its criticism.
