Brittany Snow recalls supporting ‘Pitch Perfect’ costar

A year after re-entering the singles pool, Brittany Snow opens up about her challenges and those who have supported her through this difficult time.

The entertainer is best known for her phenomenal portrayal of iconic characters like cappella singer Chloe Beale in the Pitch Perfect series. Outside of Hollywood, the actress actively raises awareness for charitable causes.

While promoting her book about spiritual awareness, co-written by Jasper Guest, September Letters, the 37-year-old seemingly hinted at her divorce from Tyler Stanaland. The former couple split after two years of marriage in September 2022.

In a recent discussion with bustle, The Young Artist Award winner reflected on the tumultuous year that had impacted her mental health as she discussed her new book, September Letters. Though she didn’t directly mention her divorce from the real estate agent, the TV personality claimed that on one particular day her life was turned upside down.

“Over the past year I have gone through what is probably the most severe mental health challenge I have ever experienced. In one day, within hours, my life turned upside down,” Snow admitted, seeming to confirm that she never expected to break up with the pro surfer.

“I was taken by surprise and everything I thought I knew, held sacred and really trusted in my life was completely different. A few days later my grandmother passed away and I think everything I knew about mental health was put to the test,” the Tampa native continued.

Despite suddenly experiencing a rollercoaster of unnerving emotions, the ‘Guiding Light’ star survived thanks to her amazing friends. Acknowledging the power of a solid support system, the entertainer said:

“Thank God for my friends. I don’t know if I could have made it without her. They reminded me of who I was and what I stood for. I used all the tools I knew. All of them.”

Among the pals who have helped the 37-year-old get through the past year have been her Pitch Perfect co-stars. Snow gushed about her cappella sisters, explaining that their relationship stretched beyond the screen into real life.

“When you’re promoting a movie, you always say, ‘Oh, we’re all best friends and we all love each other,’ because that helps sell the movie. But in this case we were close friends if not family,” the blue-eyed goddess explained.

Pitch perfect

While reminiscing about a heartbreaking moment from 2022, the Love Is Louder movement co-founder decided not to name a specific cast member who had played an important role in her recovery from her “difficult” divorce.

“The last year has been difficult for me and one of the girls, I just opened the door, just fell on the floor and just cried and lay there,” revealed the Tampa native. “And she nursed me back to health for about four days.”

The anti-bullying advocate praised the anonymous ‘Pitch Perfect’ star and admitted she never thought her performer would be able to support her like she does. This lesson was so significant that Snow added it to her book.

“I think that’s the most important thing about this book, knowing that you can have in your toolbox a community of friends who will just sit on the floor with you,” the media personality explained. “They don’t have to give you advice. They don’t have to fix it for you. They are just there.”

The Parachute director celebrated her first post-divorce birthday with an emotional tribute

Before her heartfelt interview, Snow opened up about her split from Stanaland on her 37th birthday March. The age milestone marked the entertainer’s first trip around the sun after the former lovebirds ended their two-year romance.

The John Tucker Must Die actress marked the occasion on Instagram. She shares a picture of herself in the back seat of a car. The TV personality wore a beige coat and her gorgeous hair fell softly over her shoulders.

Though the picture exuded sweetness, the Boston Film Festival Award winner’s caption conveyed her bittersweet feelings. “This year has been tough and beautiful. “The older I get, the stronger I am than I ever imagined (except my back seems weaker and hurts a lot more),” the philanthropist wrote.

Despite the hurt from her past, the Would You Rather actress noted that she’s grateful instead of regretting it. “I am so thankful for all these days. “Thank you for the birthday wishes my friends,” the Teen Choice Awards winner ended her birthday message.
