Brian Myers Names the Talent Who Raised WWE’s Women’s Team

Host of the new ECW inspired podcast Extreme conversation, Brian Myers, recently spoke with The Wrestling Inc. Daily where he discussed one of his Create A Pro students, Kris Statlander. The former WWE Superstar had to coach AEW wrestlers at the start of her career, and he has carved out her work ethic.

“I always say Kris is my favorite student of all time. She was like a sweetheart, a wonderful human being, and she literally worked incredibly hard to pick up the sport of wrestling. She wasn’t a fan, but she fell in love with it and saw what was going on,” he said. “She really worked really hard and was there day and night. There are many other girls who quit, she never quit. She would just be in there with the men, pounding it off her skin and bruises. She is also an impressive, holy athlete. She’s only gotten better so I’m excited for her success and I don’t even think she’s going to scratch the surface.”

Brian Myers also spoke about the women’s revolution in general. He admits he thinks it’s still growing, but WWE missed out Ronda Rousey’s star power.

“Yes, but they made their mark and they made their point. It’s come a long way since I started, what it is, bikini contests and nonsense. I’ve been a part of WWE for the past few years and I find that women matter, just like timing matters. They have huge fan bases, they move merchandise, they get superstar reactions on shows and live events. It’s great to see how far it goes,” Myers reflects. “I think it’s still growing, I think losing Ronda is a big impact on the star power of the women’s team. She brought a lot of things to the table, I was there for a lot of them, she is a megastar. Putting everyone else on the list up to her level, which I think is pretty cool. ”

Brian Myers then discussion about Ronda more detail. He admits that she’s great to be around and that she’s been in the mix.

“Wonderful,” he said of her. “I did tours with her and everything, she threw herself into everything, like one of the boys. It’s really great. ”
