Brewers NL MVP candidate deserves more

Bryce Harper fully deserves to win the National League Player of the Year award for the second time in his career. All the players who received votes in first place deserved more than them. However, one player who did not receive a single higher vote than eighth (and probably should have) was the Milwaukee Brewers beating Willy Adames, who eventually finished. The Milwaukee Brewers became a whole new ball club after the arrival of Willy Adames, winning 17 of their first 23 games and eventually winning at NL Central thanks to a 95-67 record in the regular season. Adames has appeared in a total of 99 games for the Brewers, hitting 20 home games (it took him 152 games in 2019 to hit 20) and hitting a career-high .285 average as a Brewer. He certainly showed a knack for clutching, something the Brewers lacked in a faltering Christian Yelich and recently retired Ryan Braun.
