Tom Wilson and Brendan Smith dropped their gloves during the Washington Capitals-Carolina Hurricanes game Monday night.
Monday night didn’t turn out the way the Washington, D.C. capital had hoped, as their two-game winning streak ended thanks to Hurricane Carolina. In that very game, the Hurricanes entered the Capital One Arena and left with a 6-1 lead.
But at the end of the game, the Capitals’ executioner, Tom Wilson, dropped his glove with the Storm guard Brendan Smith. As for who won, look at yourself.

As the commentators in the video above mentioned, Smith cracked his skull while trying to save a shot during a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Feb. 20. He went to a local hospital for an evaluation, where he was finally released, follow the group’s public relations Twitter account.
Smith was out for nearly a month, when he returned from injury during the team’s March 17 game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In regards to Monday night’s game, Martin Necas led the team with two goals on the night, along with an assist. Derek Stepan, Sebastian Aho, Brett Pesce and Brady Skjei are the other four goals from Carolina.
Wilson scored Washington’s only goal of the night.
