Bredan Harvey allegedly tried to rape woman at Walmart

A Florida man has been arrested and charged with attempting to rape a woman at a Walmart store in Miami.

Bredan Jarmal HarveyThe 28-year-old was at Walmart on Sunday when he allegedly walked up behind a woman in the middle of the store, lifted her skirt, and then ripped off her panties, according to a police report. .

The suspect pushed her to the ground and was about to sexually assault her when a group of shoppers ran up to and kicked Harvey away from the woman, authorities said.

Harvey is later captured by Miami-Dade Police and charge with sex pin.

He is on $50,000 bail at the Knight Turner Guilford Correctional Center.

An assault witness provided Law & Crime with video of the incident.

In the video, which Law & Crime did not share to protect the victim’s identity, the suspect identified as Harvey in white can be seen being pulled away by a man in a white shirt and black cap. from the victim.

The bystander immediately pulled the suspect away from the victim, at which point he attempted to flee.

Two other men quickly ran to help subdue the suspect until someone could come and arrest him.

A team of five to six shoppers continued to monitor the suspect to make sure he didn’t escape their sight.

Meanwhile, two women and a teenager can be seen talking to the shelled victim after helping her to the floor.

Harvey had been convicted of a felony at the time of the attack for a crime committed just a week earlier (Miami-Dade court filings above).

Another woman was speaking to 911 and told the dispatcher that a man had tried to rape a woman.

Eventually, the suspect managed to twist and turn to such an extent that the man who had pulled him away from the last victim on the floor tried to hold him tight.

In the minute-long video, only one Walmart employee appears to be near the group.

Men and women could be heard frantically calling for protection. Many people shouted at the end of the video: “Hurry, hurry”.

A few shoppers also formed a wall so the victim could not see the suspect while urging the men to take him away from the woman.

Miami-Dade police were able to make an arrest thanks to these shoppers, who successfully prevented the suspect from fleeing the premises.

The arrest report then said that Harvey “approached the victim from behind and pulled her skirt up while grabbing her butt.”

Harvey then “pushed her to the ground”, at which point “the victim started screaming for help”.

This didn’t stop Harvey, reportedly, who continued “[rip] take off her underwear while grabbing her thighs and vagina. ”

At this point, a woman first tries to get Harvey out of the victim on her own, and then, with help from the man, finally subdues him.

Meanwhile, Law & Crime has learned that Harvey has been released on bail and is on probation for this brazen assault.

A week earlier, Harvey had been arrested and charged with grand theft and leaving a crime scene. On top of that, he was on probation for a year in a plea agreement with prosecutors in November following an arrest for disorderly conduct.
