Brazilian MMA fans brutally mock ex-UFC star Jose Aldo for endorsing former President Jair Bolsonaro

Jose Aldo decided to give up his gloves after losing to Merab Dvalishvili by a unanimous decision at UFC 278 quite significantly. Unfortunately, his legacy could be slightly tainted after his recent actions.
Jair Bolsonaro was the last president of Brazil before Lula da Silva came to power. Jair was one of the most controversial presidents in the history of Brazil and many heavily criticized him for his actions, words and policies. Despite this, he nearly beat Lula and only lost after more elections were held. He then came to Florida, where he is said to be staying with UFC veteran Jose Aldo.
How the fans reacted!
Jose was already quite close to the former president. However, the two went different ways, and fans distanced themselves from the matter. But now that recent news of the former president’s move to Florida has surfaced, fans have become furious.
Aside from hosting Bolsonaro at his home, ex-UFC champion Jose Aldo is also embroiled in a government scandal, including taking funds earmarked for low-income families during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic

One fan wrote: “José Aldo, according to our information, in addition to deleting his personnel number, he has also deactivated the comments on his social networks. Too much for someone claiming to be a fighter, doesn’t that support it?’
Another wrote: “Sit down so you don’t fall on your back. José Aldo’s wife and himself own the villa (guaranteed 4 million reais) where Bolsonaro lives in Orlando (USA). Forum magazine noted that the owner had received from the government. Brazilian emergency aid in the pandemic.”
Some also try to link the fighter to cases of corruption: “The wife of fighter José Aldo, whom we published and who traveled on paid tickets with d1nhe1r0 publ1c0, Viviane Pereira de Oliveira, received R$3,900 in emergency aid to be allocated to a low-income family during the pandemic.
One user even tried to accuse the veteran of planning a riot.
BREAKING 🇧🇷: Evidence suggests the Brasilia riot may have been planned in Florida. The Federal District Secretary of Security is in the US and recently traveled to Orlando – the very place where Jair Bolsonaro is currently staying.

While we do not support guilt-by-association sentiments, we hope that all parties involved can come to a peaceful settlement.
