A hand-to-hand fight involving about 15 people was filmed by a bystander in Coolangatta on Saturday morning.

The store’s owner said the brawls resulted in broken glass and a smashed chair.
Witness Ali Rana said the altercation appeared to have taken place after “something happened at the club” between two groups.
He said it started as a “shove” before punches were thrown there when it started to escalate.
“They grabbed chairs and threw chairs at each other – anything they could get their hands on,” Rana, a regular at the kebab shop and friend of the owner, told 7NEWS.
“It was just too much to deal with. There were about 15 to 16 people.
“[It was a]very anxious experience … it can also become a dirty mess because they’re drunk, they’re not in control.
“What if a chair flies over the counter and hits one of the staff? It could be dangerous.”
7NEWS was provided with footage of another recent brawl at the same kebab shop.
“You want to open your mouth while you walk away c***,” a man is heard saying in footage of the altercation provided to 7NEWS.
The melee spreads out on the footpath outside after the store owner kicks out the struggling customers.
Rana has called for an increased police presence in Coolangatta, where more licensed venues have opened in recent years.
Bronte Walker, a manager at a nearby coffee shop, agrees, saying the violence is “sad to see”.
“I’ve been seeing a lot of videos of similar fights in Cooly lately,” she told 7NEWS.
“There’s a different crowd coming along so I think the police should be around to protect them.”
