Braves pick 2024 pick in Brian Snitker’s contract

NS Atlanta Braves announced Tuesday morning that they have selected Brian Snitker’s contract for 2024. That means he has a contract with the Braves for the next three seasons. Snitker signed a two-year extension last February options included.

Snitker replaced Fredi Gonzalez as coach in 2016 and has helped lead the Braves to four consecutive playoffs, culminating in a World Series championship in 2021. He’s 441-390 in six years on the bench. bag. That 441 win is the fifth-best in franchise history, behind only Bobby Cox, Frank Selee, George Stallings and Bill MeKechnie.

Snitker’s story is a good one. He has spent over 40 years in the Braves organization. He and his coaching staff helped guide Atlanta out of rebuilding and back into struggle. Snitker won Manager of the Year in 2018 and came in fourth in the 2021 vote. He just turned 66, so the deal would put him past 69. Braves pick 2024 pick in Brian Snitker’s contract
