Brandon Hyde’s son arrives at Cameo at spring training – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Orioles has entered its fourth year of franchise reconstruction.
It is the process of continuing to build the future on the foundation of young talent.

That’s why spring training in Sarasota, Florida, is serious business.
However, the atmosphere is more laid-back than the intensity and fierceness that accompanies the usual 162-game system.
That means one will see some things during spring training that they might not see at Camden Yards.
For example, a 14-year-old boy was recently on the baseball field interacting with major league baseball players as they honed their skills.
The teenager had a special connection to the game.

He is Colton Hyde, son of Orioles Director Brandon Hyde.
Colton celebrated his fourteenth birthday last week with his father and his favorite major league baseball team: the Baltimore Orioles.
The child plays the game well and he only gets better and better with the experts.
Being the son of a team manager has its perks. Colton was used to the professional baseball atmosphere.
He has been a “small jumper for many years.”
His father said it was a pleasure to have him around.

“He’s grown up in the club,” said Brandon Hyde. “He has been going to spring practice with me since 2014 pretty much every day from 2014–2019.”
