BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Baltimore Police Department Commissioner Michael Harrison tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday, the department announced.
Harrison was fully vaccinated and had a booster shot, and had only mild symptoms. He is quarantining in his Baltimore home.
“I’m in good spirits,” Commissioner Harrison said. “I am very happy that I am fully vaccinated and have only mild symptoms. I urge everyone to get vaccinated, wear masks and maintain social distancing to protect themselves, their loved ones and the community. Let’s work together to ease the burden on our hospital system at this critical time.”
Harrison will work from home until he is cleared to return to the office.
