Boy seriously injured in industrial accident in Edinburgh North, Adelaide

A 15-year-old boy has been seriously injured in an industrial accident in Adelaide’s north.

Emergency crews were called to the corner of Stebonheath and Hewittson streets at around 4.30pm on Tuesday after the boy suffered serious leg injuries.

Work was underway at the construction site to move concrete barriers.

Paramedics treated the boy at the scene before he was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

It comes a day after a man died in an industrial accident in Parawa, about 75km south of Adelaide.

South African police said the 59-year-old man from Strathalbyn was critically injured while moving logs in a harvester on Monday afternoon.

He died at the scene of the accident.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
