New spells, new progression, smoother traversal, and more

One of the recent additions to the mod is an all-new progression system. Under the name Runeforging, find rune pieces hidden around the world and bring them to Finger Reader Enia to access the system. This gives you access to passive boosts that tweak everything from casting costs, movement speed, or stance damage. There are more rune progression options in the mod’s New Game Plus mode and when you reach the 200 level cap.

In addition to the mod’s expanded gameplay options, such as deflecting attacks, the update also includes increased damage from jump attacks performed from over ten feet. The Longtail Cat Talisman has also been changed to negate landing animations when falling from a great height, granting “faster traverse” according to the patch notes [and] increases damage from dash attacks.”

And if you’re into cold magic, the mod adds two new spells called Glintstone Snowdrift and Moonchill (the latter must almost certainly be the name of someone’s new chill-hop music project). But there are some other spell updates across the board, like enlarged hitboxes for Frozen Lightning Spear, Burn O Flame! and Death Lightning to name a few.
