Chelsea received some terrible news after their midweek game, when it was confirmed that star full-back, Ben Chilwell, could be out for up to nine months as he picked up an ACL injury during the game. UEFA Champions League clash with Juventus.

Blues manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Chilwell was injured, but claimed it would take six weeks to determine if the player needed surgery and would be out for the rest of the season.
Ben has a partial ACL injury and has decided that conservative treatment is needed, the next six weeks will tell the real story if he makes it and whether he will be fully ready after six weeks, or if he need surgery afterwards.
Right now I am only interested in six weeks, we are very positive because the first reaction of his body is very positive.
Hopefully it will continue like this so for now everyone is fully focused on the next six weeks, to try to get him back in action. (via Sky Sports.)
Chilwell was injured in a collision with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and clutched his knee. Despite his departure, Chelsea will go on to win 4-0, although Tuchel admits the game was made worse by a possible serious injury to the England international.
Injuries open the door for some players to return to the starting lineup. Spaniard Marcos Alonso was in favor at the start of the season before Chilwell’s return was available, or the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi could fill the role, having impressed this season.
Chelsea take on Manchester United in the match Premier League This weekend, in the Reds’ first game since sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Unfortunately for the Blues, they could also be without N’Golo Kante, who suffers from a mild knee problem.
