Bindi Irwin’s Emotional Post Triggers Love Flood: “Plays in Heaven”

Bindi Irwin shared a souvenir photo of her parents to celebrate the 31st anniversary of their engagement.

The wild animal warrior’s photo was lauded by Irwin fans, with many honing in on a beautiful detail on the fly.

Steve Irwin, who died in 2006, had one arm around his wife-to-be and another around their beloved dog, Sui.

Many fans noted the “special” bond between Steve and his dog.

“Best friends. Soulmates. True love.❤️ The most incredible parents. And of course Sui,” Bindi simply wrote of her parents.

Fans who remember Steve’s beloved dog took to the comments.

“I can still hear his voice calling Sui 🙏🏽,” one said of Steve and his dog.

“Steve and Sui sure are playing in heaven,” added a second.

Another said: “Steve and his dog Sui back together – what a special photo.”

“Sui is the definition of a man’s best friend,” said one.

In 2022, Bindi opened up about her childhood with Sui and even shared old family footage with the beloved pooch.

“When I was growing up, my father had the most beautiful dog named Sui. And that’s actually how I got my middle name – Sue,” she said in a video posted to Australia Zoo’s YouTube channel.

“Sui was so incredibly special – she had the kindest heart and was always so loyal, and she endured a lot. She was always very patient and kind.”

Reaching out to her husband Chandler Powell, Bindi said she “wish you could have met Sui”.

“I would have loved to, I loved that she went from wearing bows and dresses with you to crocodile catching with your dad,” he joked.

Alongside Bindi’s tribute to her parents, younger brother Robert also made a sweet post.

Sharing another throwback pic, Robert wrote: “On that day 31 years ago my parents got engaged and started what would become a larger than life legacy.

“I love my mom and dad so much … I’m proud to be their son.”

The Irwin family always finds ways to remember Steve, with Bindi recently being praised for a detail in her outfit for the 2022 Steve Irwin Gala.

The interviewee wore a pendant necklace that belonged to her late father Steve.

“Love this family… and your necklace is precious,” one wrote.

“Necklace brought tears to my eyes. Steve would be so proud of what you all have become and what an incredible human group you all are,” noted one follower.

Another agreed: “The necklace caught my eye too! How wonderful to have this memory of your father and his life!

“Besides, you can give it to Grace later and she will have the souvenir photo of you and your father, also because you always wore it!”
