Texas’ football woes dealt a bigger blow than ever on Monday.
Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian announced that star running behind Bijan Robinson will miss the rest of the season with a dislocated elbow.

Robinson has been one of Texas’ few bright spots in a season that hasn’t been so smooth. The sophomore has 1,127 yards and 11 ground touches in 10 games so far this season, along with 295 yards and four touches in the air.
In the Longhorns’ final game, losing 57-56 extra time at home, Robinson had 14 attempts in the 70 meters and three catches in the 48 meters and a touchdown. That loss was Texas’ fifth in a row, Longhorn’s first five-game loss since 1956 and its first home loss to Kansas.
With the season over, Robinson is now third in the Big 12 in both dashes and hasty touches and ninth in yards nationally. Last year, he led the convention and finished third nationally in yards per attempt with 8.2.
Texas comes in at 4-6, needing wins over West Virginia and Kansas State to be the lopsided eligibile in Steve Sarkisian’s first year in office. The last time the Longhorns failed to qualify was in 2015 when Charlie Strong led them to a record 5-7 in his final season in Austin.
The Longhorns have also made a lot of headlines for off-field situations – most notably when a pet monkey belonged to special team coach Jeff Banks’ girlfriend is said to have bitten a child at a Halloween party and again last week Defensive line coach Bo Davis arrested going strong after Texas’ loss to Iowa State.
