Bet on a return from the Bengals and double-digit favorites – The Athletic

There are a few things you can predict this season: The rookie defenders will have a hard time soon, and the really good teams will beat the really bad ones.

Before last week, double-digit favorites were 8-3 by the spread, according to BetMGM. We entered and considered the Bengals as the favorites against the Jets.

Well… the Bengals took an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter, as the Jets not only overcame the spread but also won the game – the first win in 39 games where they were leading in the fourth quarter. Some people named Mike White throw 405 yards and the Jets had their best day since 2000 under Vinny Testaverde.

All told, the double-digit favorites went 0-3-1 from last week’s spread.

Cincinnati lost half a game to Baltimore in the AFC North and we expect it to bounce back on Sunday. Same with the big favorites – Colts, Cowboys and Bills. Dallas is the only team in NFL undefeated to the odds (7-0), after failing to get past the first eight games of last season.

New York Jets in Indianapolis Colts (-10) – You beat Mike White and got 10 points? Oh my god, how fun is that? (Narrator: This is not very fun.) You will forget Carson WentzTwo terrible interceptions last week and took out the Colts as they were the much better team in a short week. COLOUR
