It doesn’t get much more exciting than a buzzer beater to end a home playoff game. Boston fans were definitely pumped at the moment, although there is still work to be done to advance to the next round.

That’s a game, at least three more to go.

Tatum finished with 31 points and eight assists. His full game countered an epic performance by Kyrie Irving for the Nets. The former Celtic had 39 points, six assists and four steals.

The Celtics built a strong lead in the third quarter, but the Nets pushed back in the fourth quarter.

Irving hit a three with 45 seconds remaining to give Brooklyn three. Jaylen Brown responded with a layup, then Boston regained the ball after a Kevin Durant miss.

The two teams will be back in action for Game 2 on Wednesday.
