Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengal had one heck of a season in 2021, a team not normally even expected to make the playoffs managed to reach the Super Bowl. The team has amazing young talent with Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and more. The hopes of the fans are extremely high this season, because their young core now has the necessary experience.

Bengals fans may have to wait a little longer than expected, however, as their quarterback Joe Burrow recently underwent an emergency appendectomy earlier this week, which required his appendix to be removed. It’s not the same without Joey B in the building, and the concern for the team now is that they don’t know when their quarterback will return to the team’s facility.

The Bengals head coach ZacTaylor Speaking recently to the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway, Coach reiterated that there is no estimated timeline for Joe Burrow’s return to the NFL field. “I don’t have a schedule, we’re just trying to give him privacy and I’m sure he’ll come back when he’s ready.”

Once the quarterback is fit enough to join the team, he will have a transition period in which his workload is gradually increased. Head coach Taylor had nothing to say on the matter, but he doesn’t appear to be sure when Joe Burrow will join the team.

“That’s a tough one for me to predict right now, so I’m going to stay away from that prediction.” explained the coach. The Bengals start their preseason against the Arizona Cardinals on August 13th. As things stand, it might not come as a surprise if Joe Burrow doesn’t start in the team’s first preseason game.
