Behold: Patrick Mahomes training footage emerges as he recovers from an ankle injury ahead of AFC Championship game against Bengals

The moment a player comes back from injury, that moment makes the fans happy. Patrick Mahomes showed a positive sign of his questionable return.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday that quarterback Patrick Mahomes has completed the morning walkthrough and will attend afternoon practice.

Thankfully, video has surfaced showing the quarterback stretching and running, leading some to believe Patrick will be fine in Sunday’s AFC Championship game.

On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Cincinnati Bengals, with the former hoping for their second straight Super Bowl appearance and the latter hoping for their third overall win.

Mahomes suffered a serious sprained ankle as a result of a tackle in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and could potentially miss this weekend’s game.

But the video below seems to contradict that…

Mahome’s involvement seems certain at this point. All of this plus the fact that he played in the second quarter of the Jags game after being injured in the first should be sufficient evidence.
