Bears Linked to Ohio State Coach Ryan Day in Office Rumors

Because of the likely large-scale changes to this season of the Chicago Bears, one potential office candidate has contact with Ryan Day.

Forbid something really unforeseeable, Chicago Bears will undergo major changes during the season. Not only Matt . ability Nagy will no longer be the head coach but there could also be changes in the head office.

And the name now associated with the Bears’ head coach job through a head office rumor is sizable: Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day.

According to CBS Sports ‘Jason La Canfora, former Bear rep and current coach Trace Armstrong could be a good fit for a top-level office position in Chicago. But Armstrong has been a big proponent of Day as a potential hire at the professional level, and the Ohio State chief has flirted with the NFL loosely in recent years due to his interest in the league as well.

Rumor: Ryan Day is the next head coach in Chicago?

The obvious link between Ryan Day and the Bears is that Chicago put up one of Day’s top performers, defender Justin Fields, in the first round of last year’s draft.

Beyond that, however, La Canfora reports that Armstrong has long believed Day was disqualified for being the winning NFL head coach. And for what it’s worth, he has some professional-level experience, having served as quarterback coach for the Eagles and 49ers.

Considering that Nagy, general manager Ryan Pace, and the rest of the main Chicago office have remained in place for now, it’s all just speculation and conjecture at this point. With that said, there are obvious connections to the Bears and Armstrong and then Armstrong to Day. That is to say, the possibility is not so far-fetched.
