Battle Bryan won against Tresean Gore in a long-awaited clash

Bryan Battle won against Tresean Gore in a long-awaited clash.

Bryan Battle has heard doubters believe he needs to beat Tresean Gore to become “real” The Last Fighter 29 champion and eventually silence them.

Battle and Gore featured three rounds on the main card of UFC Vegas 47. Both fighters had plenty of moments on their feet but Battle won the fight based on consistent volume and pressure.

The opening inning was in favor of Battle almost for sure, as he sped Gore up with kicks and punches from long range. He can’t proceed much with his grappling but can maintain an amazing pace with his swing.

Gore started to find comfort in Round 2, knocking out Battle twice, and almost finished the match. But, Battle was able to weather the storm and utilize the full power of Gore’s attacks.

Round 3 was a back and forth bout, with both boxers trading combined. But, Battle’s results proved to be different as he secured a unanimous decision victory.

Bryan Battle puts an exclamation point on his post-TUF tenure

The battle enters the fray as the newest winner of The Last Gladiator, end Gilbert Urbina on short notice last August. He was originally supposed to face Gore for the TUF title before Gore withdrew from the fight with a torn meniscus.

After just a few months of recuperation, Gore finally made his UFC debut after a bittersweet end to his TUF tenure. Prior to appearing on TUF, he competed in smaller tournaments such as the AFC and NFC, scoring a 3-0 record.

Battle and Gore are also said to have fought several times in the regional scene, but the cancellation continues and the fight seems cursed. Finally, two bright middleweight prospects have a chance to fight at UFC Vegas 47.

With a win over Gore, Battle will likely be a name to watch in the middleweight division for years to come.

UFC Vegas 47 takes place on Saturday, February 5, 2022, live from UFC APEX. Follow along with FanSided MMA, who is on-site, for all your news and highlights. Battle Bryan won against Tresean Gore in a long-awaited clash
