In a County Championship match between Kent and Warwickshire, No. 11 batsman Matt Quinn made some headlines. Quinn, after going to bat, smashed a six off the first ball. He then raised his bat, but interestingly the captain then explained their innings.
Meanwhile, Kent defeated Warwickshire on 22 July by 177 runs in the County Championship. It was Indian bowler Navdeep Saini who won the match for Kent by scalping five wickets. Remarkably, it was also his debut match. In the match, Kent finished his second innings 384/9 and they were 60 runs down to start the second innings.
Joe Denly’s 141 runs helped Kent set a 325 goal for Warwickshire. However, Saini’s impressive bowling warwickshire only for 147 runs. When Kent batted, it was Saini on the no-forward end as Danny Briggs sent Matt Milnes back and the next batter to come in was Matt Quinn.

Navdeep Saini stars for Kent
Indian players have been at their best in the ongoing County Championship. Warwickshire responded with a shaky start as Navdeep Saini sacked opener Alex Davies in the second over.
Saini finished with the numbers of 5/72 from 18 overs. He scalped the wickets of Chris Benjamin, Dan Mousley, Michael Burgees, Henry Brooks and Craig Miles. It was a proud moment for Saini as he received an ovation from his teammates.
Saini has not been in the national squad for a year. He was picked up as a net bowler for Team India as India toured England for Test, ODIs and T20Is. He also played a role in the warm-up game against Leicestershire. It was recently announced that he would join the Kent squad.
