‘Barbie’ has reportedly caused a color shortage!

All Barbie girls who live in a Barbie world will get it!

Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ may have an all-star cast and a soundtrack full of bangers, but the film is also reportedly having an impact on the painting industry!
Reports of a global shortage of pink color due to the film’s elaborate (and very, very pink) sets are making headlines among the “Barbie” crew and those associated with the company that paints the group delivered!
Devoted fans who want to create their own Barbie dream house may need to find a different shade of pink than the one used for filming! The vice president of the paint supplier gave details of this in a press release Interview with the Los Angeles Times published on Saturday morning.
The ‘Barbie’ cast has kept the details of the film secret!

The reports of the lack of pink paint are a seemingly rare glimpse into the behind-the-scenes atmosphere of the Barbie set. At least when it comes to keeping the details a secret when casting the film!
The Blast recently reported on Issa Rae’s low-key attitude towards the film. The ‘Insecure’ star chose to keep it as private as possible, leaving the honors to Gerwig and Barbie herself, Margot Robbie!
“You’re not going to get me in trouble,” Rae joked to a People magazine reporter while standing on the carpet at AT&T’s Game Ball Experience. “I’ll let Greta and Margot take the lead and keep my mouth shut.” Fuck it and sit back,” she continued.
The Barbie soundtrack features a variety of artists and musicians!

One thing movie fans know a thing or two about is the soundtrack!
A selection of tracks from the album was released last month. In the film, Dua Lipa is responsible for the smash hit “Dance the Night!”. The music video was recently posted on the “Levitating” singer’s official YouTube account.
Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj will be reviving Aqua’s legendary 1997 classic Barbie Girl, which will reportedly also star the band! It will be the duo’s second collaboration: The video for “Princess Diana” was released last month.
The album’s full track listing has not yet been released; Several songs were revealed including Lizzo’s opening track “Pink”, HAIM’s “Home”, GAYLE’s “Butterflies” and Tame Impala’s “Journey to the Real World”. (above vulture)
It’s a “Barbie world” for a paint maker!

Lauren Proud, vice president of global marketing at paint maker Rosco, spoke to the LA Times to share the details of the alleged shortage. The medium shares that Rosco has close ties to the film and television industry.
“They used as much paint as we did,” Proud said.
Production designer Sarah Greenwood echoed Proud’s statements in an interview with Architectural Digest.
“The world has run out of pink,” Greenwood told the publication. However, she also cited the global COVID-19 pandemic as a cause.
“There was this lack,” she explained further. “And then we gave [the film] everything we could — I don’t know if they can claim the credit.” Though the film had an impact on the company, Greenwood continued, “They took the paint off of us.”
