BALTIMORE (WJZ) – WJZ is looking for more information about the murder of 15-year-old Braylon Gannon, who was shot multiple times in the head in an alleyway in West Baltimore.
A source told WJZ that the teen’s murder was caught on camera. They said he appeared to be targeted while walking near the 2400 block of West Lafayette Avenue.

That source, who viewed the video, said it showed two suspects. One of them strolled Gannon before shooting him.
Then, while Gannon was on the ground, another person, who had been hiding, came out from the shadows and shot Gannon again.
The source said the shooting happened at 9pm on Friday. But police didn’t find the boy until 1:40 a.m. Saturday — about four hours later.
Mayor Brandon Scott said: “It’s sad that we have a coward killing a young person but it’s also a message that we have to heal. “People are often shot by someone they know. They were not shot by strangers. “
Brian Starks has spent his life in the community of West Baltimore, where the deadly shooting took place.

“It got worse,” he said. All you do is hear gunfire. That is every night. At least six or seven. ”
The Starks know all too well the feelings of violence.
“I started losing friends at the age of 15, 14, 13,” he said. “I grew up in this community, so it’s nothing new to me. They don’t have a store. They don’t have a basketball court around here and the basketball courts they do have are knocked over and run down. They should have more activities for them to do, more agendas and things like that to raise the spirits of the youth.”
Scott has advocated for a holistic approach to stopping city violence. He had an urgent plea in this case.
“If you know who shot that 15-year-old boy, especially if it’s another young man, it’s your duty to step up and say it,” he said. “We have to appeal to people about what they are doing. We cannot tolerate those who are harming people. My heart and prayers go out to the entire family.”
