Baltimore man, 30, charged with attempted murder in Eagle Street shooting – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Authorities say a 30-year-old Baltimore man is under arrest in connection with Thursday’s shooting in southern Baltimore.
Baltimore police say Devonta Cox has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in the 1800 block of Eagle Street.

Officers investigating a shooting in the area around 1:17 p.m. Thursday found the victim who had been shot multiple times in the face and body, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he remains in serious condition.
Police said a person of interest, later identified as Cox, fled the area with a handgun.

Cox remains in custody without bail pending court proceedings in the case.
