Baker Mayfield’s Trade Request Doesn’t Change Browns Super Bowl Odds

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is said to have requested a trade from the Browns, as he felt the bridge had burned after team pursuing a deal for Deshaun Watson.

That could be because Cleveland is reportedly not going to meet Mayfield’s claim, which could be one reason their odds are flat.

After leading the Browns to the knockout stages in the 2020 season, Mayfield has faced a labrum injury and a setback in his play in the 2021 season. The Browns ultimately missed the playoffs. , and with Mayfield entering his fifth year in the league. the team is clearly not selling him as a franchise quarterback.
Mayfield flipped the script on Cleveland, as the Browns may need to find another full-back for the 2022 season if he decides he won’t play for the franchise anymore. Mayfield threw just 17 touchdowns to 13 interceptions last season, which is a huge step back from his 26 touchdown, eight interceptions campaign in the 2020 season.
