Australian father’s heartbreaking final message to his wife, who died while getting their son ready for school

A Queensland father has written a touching final message to his ‘partner in crime’ after she died suddenly while preparing her son for his first day of school.
Lauren Watts, 40, died Tuesday morning and was remembered as a doting friend and mother of four who was “full of life and love”.
The exact circumstances of her death have yet to be released, but husband Drew Duncan described it as sudden.

In an emotional open letter to his late wife, Duncan described Watts as “the heart of our family” that kept them all going.
“My love, my partner in life, my accomplice (before the kids came) and an amazing mother to our kids,” he said.
“Jimmy was so excited for his first day and so were you.”
Now his family is reeling from the tragedy.
Watts is survived by Duncan and their four children, Olivia, Will, Jimmy and Jude.
“You were the heart of our family and kept it beating with your love. Unfortunately, I think you must have used up all your own beats for everyone else,” Duncan said.
“You kept fighting for what was best for all of us when we kept getting dealt crap cards.”
Watts was passionate about everything she did and always put others before herself, Duncan said as he vowed to raise her children the way Watts wanted.
“You’ve worked harder than anyone should to make our family, your career and our lives together,” he said.
“We faced more challenges than most and we overcame them together. I promise I will raise Olivia, Will, Jimmy and Jude to be the people we always dreamed of becoming.
“Love you darling. Forever and ever.”
Boyfriend Jacq Lawson said Watts was “full of life and love” and someone who never stopped smiling despite tough challenges.
“Drew and Lauren have spent a lifetime together and built a wonderful family,” she wrote on social media.
“They stood together and faced anything the world could throw at them.
“Not only did Drew lose his partner, but their 4 young children Olivia, Will, Jimmy and Jude also lost their wonderful mother.”
Lawson started a GoFundMe for the family and said Duncan was “overwhelmed” by the outpouring of kindness and love people have shown him since Watt’s death.
“He really wishes Loz knew how much she is loved by so many,” she said.
