“It’s time to see more of your own backyard for less,” said Carly Povey, Bonza’s chief commercial officer.
Povey said Bonza is committed to making travel more accessible and better connecting regions, with 93 percent of Bonza routes currently unserviced by any airline and 96 percent currently unserviced by a low-cost airline.
The cheapest flights currently cost travelers $49, including from the Sunshine Coast to Rockhampton, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.
The most expensive flights are currently priced at $79 and include destinations such as Mildura and Avalon.
“It’s important for Australian travelers to know that we are on sale, not on sale. We are committed to low cost fares which in turn will stimulate new markets for Australia’s domestic tourism industry. We are confident that whenever customers choose to travel, all of our fares, and not just our launch fares, will represent great value,” said Povey.
Flights can be booked until October 2023, with travelers advised to book through the Fly Bonza app at the lowest fares.
Routes from Bonza’s second base at Melbourne Airport are expected to go on sale in a few weeks.
Travelers who have already downloaded the app should delete it and reinstall the latest version to book flights.
