Francis Ngannou was at the forefront of the fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 and he continues to stand at the top of the UFC heavyweight division.
Billed as his toughest match yet, Ngannou was not expected to win if the fight dragged on to the championship round but the Franco-Cameroon showed a completely different fighting style in stock. His weapon when he grapples and grappling with Gane almost always prevails. and that was enough to guarantee Ngannou’s victory.
‘The Predator’ was later interviewed by BT Sportvery private Caroline Pearce and was asked most of the questions everyone would love to have answers to and the main topic surrounding Ngannou recently, his contract discussions.
The heavyweight champion was asked if he wanted to give him a new contract with all the conditions he asked for before he showed up in the octagon again.Uhh, yes. Sure. I need a good, new contract, not just a new one. I need a new clause in my contract. Please respect me as the warrior you know. Respect my rights and, uh, give me a choice. Just a right you know. I’m not asking for something big. I’m not asking for something to suffer. I just ask you to know, what a free man can ask. ”
Francis Ngannou says he will sit back and see how the future plays out
Francis Ngannou was not interviewed almost immediately after his unanimous decision won Ciryl Ganes at UFC 270 and was asked about his contract and the length of time for the UFC to allow him to participate in boxing matches.
The champ was asked if he wanted to cross between the UFC and boxing or if he would slowly find his way into boxing and he replied: “I don’t really care. I believe even here I can do it and in the perfect case I will do it here and maybe the UFC can promote that or something like that. But what if – I don’t know exactly what the future holds, for me right now. I’ll lie back for a bit and see how things go and who knows. ”
It would be a huge loss to promotion if a boxer like Francis Ngannou were to die for good so we don’t really see what the problem is but we do know that if Dana White refuses to attend the press conference and ignores it. the ceremony of awarding the belt to the champion, the problem is deeply rooted.
Ngannou also credits his homeland Cameroon saying he will not let his people down and their support is everything to him.
“They have been my motivation for a short time“, Ngannou commented.
Certainly, the people of Cameroon were delighted when their championship continued to be preserved and still stood on the top of the mountain now.
