Ashes of Creation battles a giant Cyclops in its latest Alpha Two preview
Players who have followed the development path of ashes of creation You might remember that the sandbox MMORPG will have world raid bosses, such as a venom-breathing dragon, which will be introduced in 2021. It’s been some time since we’ve seen a new breed of this encounter, but that drought has now come to an end with Intrepid Studios’ latest Alpha Two video presentation, the features a raid-sized fight against a cyclops.
Creative Director Steven Sharif has brought together 15 more people to demo the encounter, which aims to give players a first taste of this type of combat. Up to this point, this particular boss can be found stumbling through the riverlands, recklessly knocking down trees as he walks – a deliberate routing intended to surprise players roaming the area.
As for the combat itself, it’s designed for a group size of 16 to 32 people, depending on the player’s level and gear, and the mechanics are interesting but not overly tuned. The overall combat is designed to get players used to large group battles and have something to offer to all roles in the Holy Trinity. Footage of the fight awaits you below the break.
