Ashanti fans claim the singer is ‘undisturbed’ after sharing new photos amid drama from Irv Gotti’s ‘Drink Champs’, Ja Rule also defended the singer
Fans made Ashanti their #womencrushwednesday on August 11 after she shared new Instagram photos from her performance at Carnegie Hall. In the photos, taken on August 3, the Grammy winner wore a sparkling black dress with gold embellishments around the neck, with matching gold shoes. The first photo collage featured three images of the “Happy” singer on stage and a video showing a close-up of her polished makeup look.
“Royal attitude,” Ashanti captioned the second series of photos, which garnered over 55,000 likes. The final trio of photos, captioned an ace of spades, consisted of the R&B artist standing next to a Steinway piano and posing next to the wall.
The fans were mesmerized by Ashanti’s beauty, hips, body and hair. Additionally, many praised the 41-year-old for not letting the recent drama caused by Irv Gotti bother him.

The drama unfolded after the Murder Inc. co-founder revealed details about an alleged past relationship with Ashanti. During an appearance on “Drink Champs,” Gotti expressed that he was hurt that she was dating rappers Nelly.
Ashanti has apparently not addressed his remarks publicly, but fans have been confused as to why he was disclosing details about their alleged involvement. Even though it happened 20 years ago, many believe he’s “obsessed” with her for bringing it up now.
One person said, “Shanti, this man speaks really badly! I think he’s obsessed.” Another wrote, “You got the old boy in his feelings.”

Gotti’s “Drink Champs” interview caused chaos and confusion for many, including Judge Matthew who advised Ashanti to get a gag order on the music manager during a clash with TMZ. rapper Fat Joe chimed in to defend the “R&B princess” by calling out Gotti during a live Instagram session earlier this week. He admitted there were rumors of Ashanti and Gotti dating, but explained that he never needed confirmation.
“I’ve never seen it, but I don’t need to know. I don’t need to know,” said the What’s Luv artist. “It’s okay if it’s in a documentary and you tell your truth in a documentary. But to go to ‘Drink Champs’ and keep calling them a ‘b—-‘. Be disrespectful…”
Joe and Ashanti refer to each other as brother and sister, just as she does to Ja Rule. Joe slammed the “Always On Time” artist for not defending his “sister” during the interview, adding, “Ja Rule was right next to him.”
The Fast & Furious actor hit back at the Bronx native in the comments section of the Hollywood Unlocked report on Instagram. Ja wrote: “STOP saying I wasn’t defending sisters and all women when I clearly told Gotti to stop calling Ashanti/women the B-word like I told Joe at Verzuz have THOSE ADULT COMPANIES.”
Ja Rule later shared an Instagram post clarifying his stance amid the drama.
“Brotherly love… The last few days have been very tumultuous for me, but it’s time to land the plane… I love my sister, I love my brother, but I do NOT condone or agree with the behavior or the way Gotti handled things on Beverage Champions I hope you all understand how awkward it is for me to be in the middle of something I don’t want to be… all I ask going forward is left out of this whole thing to become, please and thank you!!! Sincerely, Switzerland Bennett…” he wrote.
