Ashanti appears to be addressing Irv Gotti’s comments about their alleged affair in the “Gotta Move On” remix

Ashanti finally published a response to the music manager’s salacious claims Irv Gotti about the two who had a relationship in the past.

At one point, Gotti had social media in a bit of a stranglehold after appearing on the Drink Champs podcast, where he explained that he used to have a crush on the former Princess of Murder Inc. “I’ll get past you [Ashanti] I want to be with Nelly. Listen, when it happens, every man, it hurts [when] The chick, you f-king, is in love with his n-gga,” Gotti said during the interview, which premiered in August.

In his five-part docuseries The Murder Inc. Story, Gotti revealed even more details about his alleged affair with the “Happy” singer. In one episode, he claimed, “She used to wear those Juicy sweatshirts and her A- looked fat. So one day I was like, ‘Yo, I’ll take you home.’ She said ‘Bet cool.’ Walk her to the front door of her crib. She turns to say goodbye. I just kissed her and at her-… It was like ‘why did it take you so long?’ ”

In a remix for Diddy’s latest record “Gotta Move On”, the songwriter has finally dealt with Gotti’s statements. “It obsesses me/ It makes you stressed/ It makes you depressed/ It gives this niga the best to miss but it’s been 20 years please cry less we can see you and your tears,” she sang the track. While the remix is sure to spark another wave of online discussion about Ashanti and Gotti’s pasts, reactions are currently mixed.

“This isn’t about them having a sexual relationship. There’s no denying that. It’s about his inability to move on and tie it solely to business,” one person wrote.

“There’s… stick to a story sis… you just said there’s no relationship or ‘thing’ between you guys (we knew better) but still,” wrote another.

And a third commented: “I’m glad she fought back because he only pulled it from one side.” Ashanti appears to be addressing Irv Gotti’s comments about their alleged affair in the “Gotta Move On” remix
