Artificial belly buttons to make your legs appear longer
Unfortunately, the person above did not have two umbilical cords and therefore two belly buttons. Rather, they wear a belly button sticker placed over the true navel. Why? Because when you wear a shirt that exposes your waist, the higher belly button is intended to give the impression of a shorter torso and longer legs. The fake belly button temporary tattoos are apparently growing in popularity in China, selling for less than $1 for a sheet.

Some Chinese news outlets attributed the unexpected popularity of belly button stickers to traditional Chinese medicine, which states that the lower abdomen needs to be kept warm to maintain the body’s overall health. By exposing the false navel, users can wear high-waisted pants that cover much of the stomach while still wearing garments like crop tops[…]
“These stickers are not easy to shed; they are non-reflective and even waterproof,” one person wrote on Weibo. “I’m ready to call it the most successful invention of 2023!”
“This isn’t just a fake belly button sticker; it’s a ‘cheating tool’ to say goodbye to my 50/50 body proportions,” another person wrote on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
