Artic Air returns to the Baltimore area – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A very cold arctic air mass moved across the region on Sunday.
It created scattered fires in several locations.

Therefore, the highest temperature only reaches a low of 40 and drops to a low of 30 in the evening.
Most areas can freeze overnight, with the exception of areas near the bay and in downtown Baltimore.
The highest temperature will be in the upper 50s on Monday.
Even so, most of the day will peak in your 30s to 40s.
The day will be sunny but also windy.

On Monday night, temperatures could be near record lows in some areas.
A low of 21 degrees is forecast for the area around BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, which will be just 3 degrees above the record.
On Tuesday, some temperature adjustment is expected to head in this direction, followed by warmer air on Wednesday and Thursday in particular.
The Baltimore area is going back to the 50s by midweek.
Thursday could even see showers and hit 70s lows.
So this week we go from near-record cold in January to mid-May — all within four days.
