Arkansas safe Jalen Catalon returns for another season with the Razorbacks

Arkansas Safety All-SEC Jalen Catalon announced on Tuesday that he will be returning for another season instead of entering the NFL draft.

Mel Kiper Jr. by ESPN listed Catalon is his sixth-highest rated draft qualifying safe.

In one video messages Posting on Twitter, Catalon said in part, “My family has always told me, ‘Follow your heart and just enjoy the journey,’ and that journey continues here.”

As a sophomore on the Redshirt team, Catalon scored 46 tackles and two interceptions before suffering a shoulder injury at the end of the season in October.

The 5-foot-10-year-old Texas native was named an All-SEC First Team by the Associated Press last season after posting 99 tackles, three interceptions, four missed passes and two forced fumblings.

Arkansas Wide Receiver Treylon Burks announced last week that he had opted out of the bowl game to begin preparing for the draft.

Burks, an All-SEC pick, has made 66 catches from 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. He also dashed for 112 yards and a touch of the ball.
