Apex Legends players are not satisfied with the new Apex Hunter Bloodhound Prestige skin

The return of the Apex Legends Anniversary collectible event is finally here and with it some exciting challenges and flashy new Legendary outfits and weapons to show off your style on the battlefields Apex. Before the Anniversary event launched, most players assumed that the 150 Heirloom shards reward would return after collecting all the new skins. Instead, players will now be rewarded with the Apex Hunter Prestige Bloodhound skin after collecting all the event skins, and players aren’t too happy about that.

To get the new Prestige Bloodhound skin, you’ll have to open 24 new Anniversary Apex packs, worth around $160 USD. While paying that much for heirloom items is nothing new, players have expressed anger at both the skin’s design and its price. Usually, heirloom cosmetics are custom melee weapons that fit the Legends personality, but the new Prestige skins share the same heirloom rarity and go largely unnoticed in-game.

Players have spoken out about their problems with Prestige skins on various platforms, hoping that the trend of using Prestige level skins instead of heirloom melee weapons or shards will not continue. Players also talked about what they would do to make the skin worthy, suggesting things like special animations or dialogue.
