Antioch Man is arrested in connection with a double horrifying murder; Suspected to kill son, girlfriend – CBS San Francisco

(CBS SF) – Antioch police on Sunday announced a suspect had been arrested in connection with a double murder after his son and teenage girlfriend were found dead at their apartment. .
Based on a press statement was posted on the Facebook page of the Antioch Police DepartmentAt approximately 8:18 p.m. on Saturday, police dispatch received a request for a welfare check at a home on the 2100 block of Lemontree Way after a citizen concerned called to say they had not seen or heard news from the neighbor in a few days.

The staff arrived at the apartment in question a few minutes later. After there was no response at the front door, officers looked through the window and could see an unresponsive 15-year-old black man on the floor.
The officers forced them into the apartment out of concern for the boy’s life and found him dead. Police said a search of others inside the apartment found a 30-year-old woman dead in an upstairs room. Both victims suffered obvious trauma and the incident was quickly determined to be a double homicide.

The Antioch Crime Scene Unit and detectives responded to the scene and identified a suspect in the case, and that information was shared with other police agencies throughout the Bay Area. An officer with the Redwood City Police Department recognized the suspect at a train station in Redwood City and arrested him.
Through investigation, police determined that the 34-year-old suspect had an affair with a 30-year-old woman and a 15-year-old male who was the suspect’s biological son.
Police are not releasing the names of the victims or suspects or any other information about the case at this time, the statement said.
