Anthony Ogogo Wants To Fight Jake Paul- Wrestling Inc.
Jake Paul will fight Tyron Woodley for the second time on December 18, after original rival Tommy Fury withdrew from the fight due to illness. However, before Woodley was called a competitor, an AEW star threw his name in the hat as a potential competitor. Tweeting earlier in the morning, Anthony Ogogo called out Paul about a potential fight.
“Jake Paul, you sh*tbag,” Ogogo tweeted. “I saw a British TV star/sports fan withdraw. This TV star/sports heart will happily take his place in the next 12 days. I haven’t worn a pair of gloves in 3 years but I’ll still spank you like what you’re doing. Fight me!”
Prior to his wrestling career, Anthony Ogogo was best known as a boxer, having won a bronze medal in the middleweight at the 2012 Olympic Games. As a professional tennis player, Ogogo went 11-1, undefeated in his first 11 professional fights before losing to Craig Cunningham in the vacated WBC international middleweight championship. Ogogo broke his eye socket in battle, and the injury eventually forced him to retire two years later. A fight with Jake Paul will be Ogogo’s fight since 2017.
In addition to boxing, Anthony Ogogo is also active in the field of reality television, appearing in Big Brother: Celebrity Highjack 2008 and Seriously come to dance in 2015 before signing with AEW in October 2019. He makes his official AEW debut in March 2021, hitting Cody Rhodes and aligning himself with QT Marshall’s factory, The Factory. Anthony Ogogo will be defeated by Rhodes at AEW Double or Nothing, and right after leaving TV for eye surgery. He back to AEW show tonight in AEW Dark: Elevation, where he’ll team up with Stable Factory friends Aaron Solow, Nick Comoroto, and QT Marshall to take on Baron Black, JD Munoz, Shawn Hoodrich, and Tony Vincita.
