Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United on loan this month, but don’t fancy a move to Tottenham Hotspur or Newcastle United Football Club, has turned down approaches from both Premier League clubs.
The Frenchman was out of contention for most of the season and the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as manager made him without favor, without any features under the Germans.
There has now been a strange controversy between the manager and the player, with Rangnick saying Martial was not involved in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa over the weekend because the Frenchman ‘didn’t want to be on the team.’
Martial later denied the request, writing on Instagram: ”I would never refuse to play a game for Man United.
‘I have been here for seven years and I have never been disrespectful and will never disrespect the club and the fans.’
Martial’s agent has made it clear that his client wants to leave in January before this match, and now it seems almost certain he will depart.
He hasn’t taken it easy on himself, however, as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Martial has turned down the chance to join Spurs and Newcastle this month.
He does not want to join another English club and wants to move abroad, which is still a possibility, with Sevilla, Barcelona and Juventus all said to be interested in loaning him out.
The Red Devils have turned down a loan offer from Sevilla, but the La Liga team could return with another team, while Barca and Juve have yet to make an offer.
The bottom line is that United want any club he joins to pay Martial in full, plus the loan fee.
The 26-year-old is paid around £150,000 a week at Old Trafford, which is enough to make signing him difficult for many clubs.
