Another veteran big name quarterback that is unlikely to be available on the trade market anymore

There were rumors about Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been a potential trade for some time, but Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll slammed any notion of it Wednesday.

Carroll’s comments are consistent with what Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said: on the lack of experienced quarterback moves in the upcoming offseason.

Wilson, who was injured during the 2021 season, didn’t come up with big numbers for Seattle and the team missed the playoffs as a result. However, it appears the Seahawks are willing to retrace things with Russ and Carroll for at least another season.

Things could change this offseason, but barring Seattle going into full rebuild mode, Wilson is clearly the team’s favorite quarterback in 2022. WynnBET Sportsbook has the Seahawks at +4000 to win the Super Bowl and Wilson is +3000 to win MVP next season.

What was once hailed as an important offseason for the quarterback movement could lead to many veterans returning it in the same place in 2022.
