Anonymous Chinese donors sent millions to U Penn after the Biden Center announced it. Was Hunter involved?

What happened when the University of Pennsylvania announced the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in February 2017, just weeks after Biden’s vice presidency ended? Chinese donors, many of them anonymous, flooded it with millions in donations.

The New York Post, which reported on this massive wave of money sent out after the Biden Center announcement, notes that:

Based in Washington, DC, the center opened its doors in February 2018. Antony Blinken, whom Biden appointed secretary of state, briefly served as chief executive.

The Ivy League university received $15.8 million in anonymous Chinese gifts this year, including a whopping $14.5 million donation in May 2018, records show.

The spate of donations may be related to first son Hunter Biden’s business interests in China, the National Legal and Policy Center, a Virginia-based watchdog, raised in complaints filed with the Departments of Education and Justice in May and October 2020 were sent.

In fact, the NLPC linked the fundraising wave to Hunter Biden’s activities in China in case of a complaint demands that the federal authorities investigate the situation and say:

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) hereby files this Complaint against HunterBiden; the Truman National Security Project; and the University of Pennsylvania and its Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement because of reason to believe that one or more of them or their agents may have failed to register as a foreign agent under Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) 22 to register USC 611 et seq. regarding their political activities on behalf of a foreign state or principal.

NLPC is requesting a full investigation into this matter, which we believe may result in other civil or criminal violations of federal statutes, including conspiracy, money laundering, tax evasion and wire fraud, which may have been committed by Hunter Biden and his associates, including his uncle James Biden and his father Joe Biden.

The complaint describes this complaint and the reasons for it, particularly the massive sum of money that was sent to the center and how that money could have indirectly ended up in Biden’s hands, the complaint states:

Specifically, on May 25, 2020, NLPC filed a complaint with the Department of Education, requesting an investigation into the receipt of approximately US$67 million from China, of which US$22 million was anonymous donations from China, from 2017 to 2019 to the University of Pennsylvania, including an anonymous donation of $14.5 million on May 29, 2018. Some of that money likely went to the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy & Global Engagement and paid Joe Biden about $900,000 for some of his appearances before announcing his candidacy for President on April 25, 2019.

In other words, Hunter was lobbying in China around the time tens of millions of anonymous Chinese dollars were sent to U Penn, which opened a Biden center at the time and then paid Biden nearly a million dollars for a few speeches.

That’s a good stud rate for Biden, which becomes all the more suspicious and worrying given the Hunter Biden-China connection.

Maybe the complaint is wrong and nothing unusual happened. But an investigation is needed if we’re to find out.
