With the help of bowlers, notably Avesh Khan, India defeated the West Indies by 59 runs to lead the five-game T20I series 2-1 on Saturday, August 6 at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida, USA.

India were asked to bat first and with the help of Rohit Sharma’s rapid fire and Rishabh Pant’s brilliant shots, India set the Windies a huge goal of 192. West Indies responded with opening players Brandon King and Kyle Mayers soon going back to the dressing room, after Avesh Khan and Axar Patel sacked the batters.

Rovman Powell and Windies skipper Nicholas Pooran were the top scorers. Both scored 24 runs. In the fifth over, Patel threw a fuller and Pooran defended it, looking for a quick single towards cover to keep the shot going.

Kyle Mayers took off, but then changed his mind. Pooran was halfway through the wicket. Sanju Samson stormed out of cover and threw the ball in the direction of the goalkeeper. Rishabh Pant collected it and removed the hangers after teasing an angry pooran.

Powell was thrown on a full throw by Patel, and the former managed to put him straight to the long way. Deepak Hooda makes no mistake and catches the ball.

Shimron Hetmyer hit 19 runs with 19 balls while Jason Holder hit 13 runs with nine balls. Aside from them, no other batter could even hit double digits.

Avesh Khan, Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi each recorded two wickets while Avesh Khan recorded three wickets.
