American waitress slams restaurant patrons for ‘insulting’ tip on $1,015 bill after staying 90 minutes after closing

A waitress slammed a table with guests who left an “insulting” $650 ($1,015) tip on their restaurant bill.

American server Jacey shared on TikTok how diners stayed at their table an hour and a half after the restaurant closed, forcing staff to work late.

Adding insult to the injury, the waitress revealed the group left just a $21 (US$32) tip — which is 4 percent.

In an emotionally charged video, Jacey – who uses the TikTok handle @jaceycamryn – said she was angry at the ordeal.

“I understand if you’re still finishing your drink 15 minutes after closing, 20 minutes after closing but not an hour and 30 after closing,” she said.

“Every single person who helped you today said, ‘Bye guys, see you next time.’ The staff is leaving. What are you still doing here?”

She added: “They kept us for less than 4 per cent an hour and a half after closing?

“I never want to see your face in here again.”

Most TikTok users were appalled by the guests’ actions.

“Less than 4 percent would have made me hot,” said one.

Another said: “An hour and a half after closing? They should be charged for that.”

A third wrote: “People take ‘it’s ok it’s their job’ too freaking serious.”

Another added, “Last time I stayed shut I felt awful so we tipped them 25 percent because they looked like it wasn’t a big deal.”

Jacey then complained about another table she was serving who didn’t tip on a $670 (US$1,046) bill.

Frustrated, she said, “Just say you’re broke and you offered to pay for everyone and you shouldn’t have done that.”

However, not everyone agreed with the waitress’ plight and suggested that her attitude might be the reason she received little or no tups.

“Your attitude = no tip. I had long tables, was super nice and ended up with huge tips. Why am I making so much money now? It’s called respect and ethics,” said one.

Another added: “I only tip when I get good service. Maybe there is something you should consider.”
