Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series gets a new title and trailer

Fans have been waiting for months, if not years, for any news on Amazon Lord of the Rings TV show, and the time has finally come. While we still don’t have the full trailer, we do have the title and a new short trailer.

I was a Lord of the Rings fan since the first Peter Jackson movie came out in 2001. After I watched that movie, I read all the books while waiting for the second movie to come out. To a certain extent, I already know the names of all the actors and producers. I may have been a little obsessed.

So when I heard about this new Amazon chain, I was very optimistic and now that it is getting closer, my excitement levels are rapidly increasing.

The official title of the show is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and it set to come out on Friday, September 2, 2022. So we still have some time to wait.

Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series has a new trailer

As the creator of the program said before, the program will be set for a period of time in advance Lord of the Rings and Hobbits. We will see events that happened centuries before the events of the movies and books.

This means new characters, new stories, and possibly a different landscape we’ve never seen before. They are still the same characters and stories Tolkien created, but not stories that have been adapted as many times as those of Frodo and Bilbo.

It will be difficult to beat the Peter Jackson trio. Based on the new trailer, the creator is definitely willing to give it a try.

While we didn’t get too much information out of the teaser, it does include some very interesting graphics that show the process of creating the ring.

The trailer also includes a voiceover that tells the story of the original rings. Three Rings for Goblin Kings (“under the sky”), 9 Rings for Men (“Dooms to Death”, 7 Rings for Dwarfs (“In the Stone Corridor”) and a ring for the dark lord (“on his dark throne In Mordor, where the shadows lie”) I chill!

This teaser got me really excited about the show, and I know I’m not the only Tolkien fan hoping September will get here sooner rather than later.
